A great Veneto white aged in wood

The Bianco del Camul – Barrique Riserva is one of Camul Vini's iconic wines, a white that combines the elegance of Pinot Grigio with the structure of Chardonnay, creating a refined and complex wine capable of evolving over time.

It originates in the stony areas along the Piave River, in the heart of Alta Marca Trevigiana, where the mild climate and mineral-rich soils favour the production of grapes with great aromatic intensity. The subsequent aging in Slavonian oak barriques adds depth and harmony to the wine, without ever overshadowing the freshness of the fruit.

The winemaker's notes

"This is a white that surprises those who think only reds can benefit from wood. Pinot Grigio gives elegance and freshness, while Chardonnay provides structure and volume. Aging in barriques completes the wine with great balance, always keeping the fruit and finesse in the foreground."

— Yuri Stefani

Why we chose it

We chose Bianco del Camul because it represents one of the most interesting interpretations of a great Veneto white aged in wood.

It is a wine capable of accompanying an entire dinner thanks to its structure, while retaining a pleasant freshness that keeps it elegant and balanced. A perfect bottle for those looking for an important white with a distinctive character, different from classic international-style Chardonnays.

The territory

The grapes come from the stony areas along the course of the Piave River, between Conegliano and Treviso. These soils, characterized by excellent drainage and rich in minerals, allow the grapes to ripen evenly while preserving their aromatic intensity and natural acidity.

The well-ventilated climate of Alta Marca Trevigiana contributes to wines of great elegance and a distinctive sense of place.

The winery

Camul Vini is the wine estate of the Tonon family, a historic name in the Treviso area that has been producing wine for generations, with respect for tradition and a strong focus on quality.

The winery's philosophy is to enhance the grape varieties best suited to its vineyards through controlled yields, careful grape selection and long aging, developing complexity and elegance without sacrificing the wine's recognizable fruit character.
