The elegance of Brunello born at the foot of Monte Amiata
Tenuta Buon Tempo's Brunello di Montalcino 2020 is an authentic expression of one of Italy's most prestigious wine territories. It comes from the southern part of the appellation, in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, where the influence of Monte Amiata, the Orcia River, and soils rich in galestro and sandstone create a distinctive terroir for Sangiovese.
This Brunello embodies the nobility of the appellation: aromatic depth, impressive structure, and elegance, combined with an extraordinary ability to evolve over time. It is a wine that captivates from the first sip, while rewarding those who choose to cellar it for many years.
The winemaker's notes
"A great Brunello should move you without relying on excess. In this wine, I found what I look for in the best Sangioveses from Montalcino: precise fruit, refined tannins, freshness, and a depth that grows in the glass. It is a Brunello that expresses its territory with elegance and authenticity."

Why we chose it
We selected Tenuta Buon Tempo's Brunello because it represents a new generation of producers who combine respect for tradition with modern, sustainable viticulture.
We were struck by the balance between power and finesse, the clarity of Sangiovese's expression, and its ability to tell the story of one of Montalcino's most acclaimed terroirs.
It is an ideal bottle for lovers of great age-worthy wines, but also for those who want to discover Brunello through an elegant and distinctly territorial interpretation.
The territory
Tenuta Buon Tempo is located in the far south of Montalcino, in the Castelnuovo dell'Abate area, a particularly well-suited zone influenced by Monte Amiata and the Orcia River.
The vineyards, exposed to the southeast at between 300 and 350 metres above sea level, benefit from a dry, well-ventilated climate that promotes slow and complete grape ripening. The galestro and sandstone soils contribute minerality, balance, and remarkable tannic elegance to the wine.
The winery
Tenuta Buon Tempo was born from the vision of Per and Janet Landin, who chose Montalcino to produce wines capable of authentically expressing the territory.
The winery cultivates its vineyards according to certified organic farming principles and works with Sangiovese with great respect for its identity, relying on indigenous yeast fermentations and long aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. The aim is to preserve the wine's character without masking its sense of place.
