A Traditional Method that redefines the character of Raboso del Piave
The Rosa Bruna 2015 by Cecchetto Vini is a rosé Metodo Classico sparkling wine born from a challenge: to transform the naturally powerful character of Raboso del Piave into an elegant, refined and remarkably long-lived sparkling wine.
The wine is dedicated to Bruna, Giorgio Cecchetto’s mother and a fundamental figure in the history of the winery. First produced in 2008, Rosa Bruna represents one of the most distinctive interpretations of Raboso, harnessing the grape’s naturally high acidity to create a sparkling wine with exceptional ageing potential on the lees.
The 2015 vintage spent almost nine years on the lees, developing remarkable aromatic complexity. Fresh red fruit gradually intertwines with refined notes of pastry, spice and candied citrus, creating a wine of unusual depth and character.
The winemaker’s notes
"Raboso is a grape variety with extraordinary natural acidity. In a Metodo Classico, this characteristic becomes a great asset: time works in the wine’s favour, giving it depth, finesse and a truly unique personality."

Why we chose it
We chose Rosa Bruna because it demonstrates how a historic indigenous grape variety can reveal itself in a completely unexpected form.
This is a sparkling wine that combines elegance, character and originality, capable of surprising even those already familiar with Metodo Classico. The extended ageing on the lees adds remarkable complexity while preserving the vibrant freshness that is characteristic of Raboso.
A perfect bottle for those who love characterful, gastronomic sparkling wines and want to discover a different side of the Piave.
The territory
The grapes come from vineyards in Tezze di Piave, in the heart of the Piave area in the province of Treviso.
The soils are alluvial, loose and well drained, formed over time by gravel deposits carried by the Piave River. These conditions encourage balanced ripening while allowing Raboso to retain its characteristic natural acidity — an essential quality for producing a Metodo Classico with such impressive ageing potential.
The winery
Cecchetto Vini was founded in the heart of the Piave wine region and is today one of the leading interpreters of Raboso del Piave, the area’s iconic grape variety.
Led by Giorgio Cecchetto, the winery has built its identity around the enhancement of indigenous varieties through careful vineyard management and a continuous pursuit of quality.
Rosa Bruna perfectly embodies this philosophy, bringing together tradition, innovation and respect for the territory in an original expression of Raboso.
